Rally Round: Help Someone You Love

This event invites you to look at a new piece of computer software, Rally Round, which aims to create networks of support for loved ones, friends and family.

This event will be on Tuesday 7th August 2012 from 10am to 12pm at Sale Waterside Arts Centre, Sale and is aimed at anyone who may want to offer support, find out more or utilise Rally Round in their group or organisation.

Rally Round is a free online support network that makes it really easy for family and friends to help someone in need. Rally Round lets trusted people volunteer for jobs that need doing - such as shopping, cutting the grass or simply popping round for a cuppa. Everyone in a support network can see what jobs need doing, who's agreed to do what and what jobs have already been done.

Rally Round makes life better. You can use Rally Round on any PC and it's free to use. Just go to www.rallyroundme.com to get started.

VCAT offers a variety of training courses aimed at developing your project, organisation, staff and volunteers. Most VCAT training courses are free to voluntary, community and faith groups although we sometimes charge a small fee to statutory partners or for specific courses.
