FASNET

The FASNET Forum is a network of voluntary, community and faith sector groups working with children, young people and and families in Trafford. Voluntary, community and faith organisations are major providers of services to children, young people and families. Working with a 'Steering Group' made up from members of voluntary sector organisations, FASNET aims to raise the profile and influence of the voluntary sector groups with our statutory partners.

Representatives from FASNET attend a range of strategic meetings. This helps to create a more effective and joined up service to improve outcomes for children in the borough. FASNET provides support and training around the 'Every Child Matters' agenda and promotes the positive contribution of the voluntary sector to the lives of children, young people and families in Trafford.

FASNET provides opportunities for exchanging information by producing bi-monthly newsletters and weekly e-bulletins. Regular meetings are held at venues throughout Trafford.

FASNET shares good practice through a range of training and other events.

FASNET works closely with the Trafford Safeguarding Children Board and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

FASNET membership is free and open to anyone working with children, young people and families in Trafford. To join FASNET please complete a VCAT membership form which can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
