Calling All Budding Sports Stars – 22 July
The Together Trust is on the lookout for children and young people up to the age of 25, to join in the fun at its upcoming StreetGames event. The free and fully accessible sports fun day is taking place on Sunday 22nd July from 10am to 3pm at the Together Trust Centre, on Schools Hill in Cheadle.
On the day, budding sports stars will have the chance to take part in a wide range of exciting activities – all supervised by fully trained coaches. From tackling the climbing wall, to ducking and diving in the dodge ball tournament – there will be an activity suitable regardless of fitness or ability. Participants will also be able to try their hand at orienteering, table tennis and team building games, as well as hopping on a bike to challenge each other to cycling races.
Kevin Clarke, Manager of Community and Domiciliary Care at the Together Trust said; “This year is a fantastic summer of sport for the UK and it’s a brilliant time for young people to try out activities they’ve never thought of before. Everyone who takes part in the StreetGames sports event will have the opportunity to win prizes, t-shirts and medals for joining in and having fun!”
The Together Trust is also looking for some extra volunteers to help out on the day – so whether you’ve got a young person taking part or just fancy soaking in the electric atmosphere, get in touch with them for more information.
In order to take part, all future stars must register before the event by contacting Heather Reding on 0161 283 4874 or enquiries@togethertrust.org.uk.
For volunteer enquiries contact Sue Lewis on 0161 283 4791.
