NJC points 27-29, £23,935 – £25,694 pro rata (actual salary £12,765 for 20hrs per week) + 7% employer pension contribution

Salford CVS supports voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Salford in various forms, of these financial compliance, payroll and book keeping are a growing area of need. Currently Salford CVS provides these services to a small number of organisations, however the increased demand for support has resulted in the need to recruit a new Finance Assistant. This role will support both external VCSE organisations and the internal finance functions of Salford CVS.
As Finance Assistant you will be involved in a range of areas including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Management Accounting.
You will have proven experience with computerised accountancy packages, including QuickBooks and Sage.
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think about complex issues, analyse information and translate this into simple practical processes and tasks.
You will be well organised with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple priorities in order to meet regular deadlines. You will have good attention to detail and be able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to deal with enquiries efficiently and sensitively both by telephone and in writing.
You will be qualified or part qualified and working towards AAT.
