Loop the Loop in Trafford

Everyone is invited to 'Looping the Loop' on Saturday 19th May, an extraordinary afternoon of cultural activity at The Quays to mark the start of Games Time in the North West.

The free event, which runs from 12.30 pm to 5 pm, begins at Old Trafford football ground, and visitors will then be invited to loop the loop from there to The Quays to experience unique street art, performance and dance. The day will come to an amazing climax when one of the UK's major event producers and creative forces, Walk the Plank, will lead a world class spectacle focused around the water and the Lowry foot bridge. The finale will also include the unveiling of an Olympic-inspired artwork which will remain in place on the bridge for the duration of the Games.

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the start of Games Times for London 2012 in Trafford and begin an exciting programme of activity throughout the summer and across the borough. So please bring family and friends and get ready for a great day out!
