Social Investment Guide & Crowdfunding Workshop

An easy-to-use, online guide to help voluntary and community organisations unravel the mysteries of ‘social investment’ has been produced by NCVO.
With expert content from CAF Venturesome, the guide includes real examples of organisations that have used everything from a bridging loan to ‘patient capital’ to help grow and sustain their mission. The simple menu allows users to choose an investment type and find out what it means, when to use it, and who provides it.

It also contains practical advice on managing financial risk and a special section for trustees who aren’t sure what the implications are for them.

If you’re not sure whether investment finance is right for you, or if you don’t even know where to start, Social Investment Made Simple will give you the knowledge to decide what to do next, and put you in touch with the people who can help.

Social investment was also covered in a recent edition (#30) of GMCVO’s policy and practice journal Issues. To read more, click here www.gmcvo.org.uk/issues.
