Trafford Council- Bogus Caller Awareness Workshops
Trafford Council Adult Social Services Directorate are organising a series of Bogus Caller Workshops for managers, support workers, carers, volunteers and service users across the housing and adult health and social care sector. This also includes individuals with personal budgets and their personal assistants and others who may be at risk of, or support those at risk of bogus caller crime.
The half day workshop , which will run three times over the summer aims to:
- raise awareness of bogus caller, distraction or bogus worker crimes
- recognise and address the impact of such crimes on victims
- identify sources of help, support and advice in Trafford; including initiatives designed to prevent/detect bogus caller crime

If you wish to attend the course you will need to complete and return a Trafford Council Employee Training Application Form.
If your application is successful you will receive a letter stating the date you are to attend. Trafford Council emphasise that if you do not recieve a letter you have not been booked on the training and should not try to attend on the day.
There will be a £20 charge for anyone booking a place and then failing to attend.
