Greater Manchester VCSE Health & Social Care Assembly - Mental Health

The Greater Manchester Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy was adopted in Spring 2016. The aim of this Assembly event is to let you know what’s happened so far and what we can do to influence and play our part in the shaping the Mental Health and Wellbeing  agenda in Greater Manchester .

Jim Battle, who chaired the Greater Manchester Mental Health and Wellbeing Board until May this year, is supporting the sector in building stronger partnerships which can give the VCSE a greater say in the delivery of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy. At this event, he would like explore establishing a mental health and wellbeing “forum” for VCSE and faith groups to steer the implementation of the strategy and provide guidance to the MH Investment Board. The aim of this forum is to create pathways for investment to frontline voluntary, community and faith groups, to support people to maintain mental wellbeing, recover quickly and, when needed, for people to gain access to the best services for more formal help.
