VCAT Membership is open to anyone working for the benefit of the community of Trafford, including:
- Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations
- Statutory and Public Sector officers and service departments
- Private sector organisations and individuals
Individuals and organisations are required to agree to abide to the values of VCAT and its equal opportunities policies.
Membership is currently FREE. However, provision of some services are graded according to the level or service requested. We offer most services free to our members but some are on a paid for basis.
As a Full VCAT member you will be able to access the wide range of services.

VCAT News & E-bulletins
We publish a funding newsletter each month and an e-bulletin most weeks - full of information and news on funding and resources, legislation, practical help and local issues.
Engagement, Participation and Consultation
VCAT strives to ensure the collective interests of Trafford’s Voluntary and Community and Enterprise Sector are heard within all decision making bodies both locally and within the Greater Manchester devolution agenda partnerships.
Greater Manchester Funding Portal
VCAT funds and allows free access to our members to enable organisations to search for funding using our online Funding search engine which has over 5,000 differenet funders and grant givers.
Members are entitled to places on a wide variety of training delivered across Trafford by VCAT and our CVS partners across Greater Manchester.
VCAT offers a range of events and meetings for groups working in related fields across Trafford. These meetings feature presentations from partner organisations and contribute to the development of services and activities within Trafford
Shared Space Initiative / Meeting Rooms
Members can benefit from sharing our rent and Business rate free (Grade A) office space. This enables fledging organsiations to establish ther organsiation with little risk and with the support of VCAT and other VCSE organisations. Members can also book meeting and training rooms at a highly reduced rates. laptops, projectors and flipcharts can also be hired.
Full members have the right to influence the strategic direction, governance, policy of VCAT through attendance and voting powers at our AGM.
Members can advertise their activities and vacancies through VCAT extensive networks, website, social media and publiciations.
